In 2011, our company cooperated with the Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and undertook the Ministry of Science and Technology's agricultural science and technology achievement transformation fund project "Industrialization and application promotion of organic-inorganic soil conditioners (calcium and magnesium fertilizers)".


This project uses the scientific and technological achievements of industry-university-research cooperation, "Research on the harmless treatment technology of alkali waste residue and comprehensive application of soil conditioner (calcium-magnesium fertilizer)", and the invention patent "Method for producing granular fertilizer using alkali waste residue" (ZL03140471.5) for technology transformation. Using alkali waste residue as the main raw material, combined with organic or inorganic nutrients, the industrial production of organic-inorganic soil conditioner (calcium-magnesium fertilizer) series products is carried out. The products are promoted and applied on acidic soils in the south to achieve the purpose of improving acidic low-yield fields, fertilizing soil fertility, improving the quality of agricultural products, and increasing farmers' production and income, achieving economic benefits, social benefits and ecological benefits at the same time.


Project transformation content


(1) Using harmless treated alkali residue as the main material, adding organic and inorganic nutrients, we developed a series of soil conditioner products suitable for acidic soil in the south, which mainly contain organic matter and active calcium, magnesium and other trace elements.


(2) Investigate the current status and distribution of acidic low-yield fields in Guangdong, analyze the physical and chemical properties of typical acidic soils, propose improvement measures and conduct experimental demonstrations based on the formation mechanism of acidic soils and factors causing fertility degradation, and provide basic data for the research and development of soil conditioner products.


(3) Based on the soil nutrient background values in Guangdong and sensitive elements of crop nutrition, research on the formulation of organic matter, calcium, magnesium nutrients and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrients was conducted, organic-inorganic acidic soil conditioners were developed, and granulation process equipment was designed and installed.


(4) Test the effect of soil conditioners mainly containing calcium and magnesium and organic-inorganic combined soil conditioners on crops, clarify the effect of calcium-magnesium system fertilizer products in improving soil fertility and increasing crop yields, improve and optimize nutritional formulas and production processes, and provide a scientific basis for large-scale and industrialized development.


(5) Demonstrate and promote the large-scale application of a series of organic-inorganic soil conditioners (calcium-magnesium fertilizers), and evaluate their safety on agricultural product quality, environmental effects on soil, and economic benefits. Expand product markets, formulate product enterprise standards, and establish a sound quality inspection system.
