In 2008, our company cooperated with the Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences to undertake the key project in the key field of Guangdong and Hong Kong, "Harmless Treatment Technology of Papermaking Sludge and Development of Bio-organic Fertilizer".
Papermaking waste residue (sludge) is an organic solid waste after the treatment of papermaking wastewater. According to the research results of the Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the papermaking waste residue used in this project contains a large amount of organic matter and various crop nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, silicon, etc. The heavy metal content is lower than the "Agricultural Sludge Pollutant Control Standard" (GB4284-84). Its agricultural use will not cause heavy metal pollution and has high agricultural value. At present, the main treatment and disposal methods are landfill, incineration and composting. In view of the large amount of papermaking waste residue generated by the current papermaking industry in our city and the common problems in the papermaking waste residue composting technology and industry, such as long composting cycle, high energy consumption, low harmlessness, and single product structure, this project introduces rapid composting fermentation bacteria, develops on-site propagation technology and bio-enhancement technology for composting fermentation bacteria, carries out optimization of rapid composting formula for papermaking waste residue, standardized control of composting conditions and research and development of composting promoters, and produces high-efficiency organic fertilizer and biological organic fertilizer with harmless waste residue composting to realize waste residue resource utilization. The patented technologies developed by the project, "a method for preparing refined organic fertilizer using sludge" (patent number: zl200610122219.4) and "a method for producing alkaline fertilizer using papermaking sludge" (patent number 200810175983.7), are breakthroughs in the harmless treatment of sludge and the comprehensive utilization of resources, and have achieved good economic and social ecological benefits. The implementation of this project provides technical support and demonstration models for the efficient, energy-saving and harmless treatment and resource utilization of papermaking waste residues, and lays an industrial foundation for the treatment and disposal of papermaking waste residues.
